CHOPIN CONCERTS AT POLONIA HOUSE - 2010

The year 2010 is the bicentenary of the birth of the great composer Frederic Chopin, and the Polish Parliament has officially declared a "Chopin year", in his memory.
Assotiation Wspólnota Polska is closely involved in the Chopin year events. It has a tradition of Chopin concerts dating back to 2005, and this year it plans to supplement its regular performances of works by Chopin with special events.
The concerts will be performed by leading Polish soloists of the young generation, among them such names as Paweł Kubica, Anna Boczar, Oliwia Grabowska, and Adam Dobrowolski, all of whom have been awarded numerous laurels and distinctions by the international piano community.

From March onwards, there will be a mini-exhibition, "Chopin in posters and photographs", accompanying the concerts

Polonia House is an historic townhouse in the very heart of Krakow - on its Main Market Square. This pearl of Renaissance architecture is the perfect setting for these concerts, adding a unique dimension to this most Polish of music.
Also available on request is our special evening package comprising a meal or glass of champagne in the period Banqueting Room adjacent to the concert hall (the Renaissance Room).
